SOUTH PARK (KDKA) – A standoff situation in South Park ended peacefully early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident took place on Mike Reed Drive around 1 a.m.

A man inside the house was armed with a rifle and threatened to commit suicide.

It is unclear if anyone else was inside the home at the time of the standoff.

The standoff ended peacefully around 2:30 a.m.

The man’s name has not released at this time.
