Her driving days are over I would bet. An accident like this will cause her Doctor and the state to look hard at her competency and she will likely have her license pulled. It will probably be for the better anyway, at least she didn’t kill or seriously hurt anyone, including herself. Time to hang up the keys!

It’s not that easy. The state gives them 3 chances to retake the test, then they can apply and get 3 more chances. Trust me, I’ve got an elderly Mother undergoing this right now, and they give them too many tries to keep their licenses, regardless of how many accidents they’ve been in. As long as they haven’t hurt anyone, she could be fine!

One stroke, one seizure and your license is gone forever! PA State law says the Doctor has to take it from your possesion right then and there and send it in. My Father never had an accident but he had a mild stroke and his license was pulled immediately!

She never could drive that well, she used to scare the bejesus out of us as kids.
