Power's Chris Siegfried Breaks Down Divisional Showdown

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- The head coach of the Power stopped by the 93-7 The Fan studios during Friday's edition of "Vinnie & Cook" (weekdays 10 AM-2 PM on The Fan) to discuss Pittsburgh's first-ever matchup with its new rival, the Cleveland Gladiators, Saturday night. It's a significant matchup too, as both 6-4 squads will be playing for the outright lead in the Arena Football League's East Division.

Siegfried tells our own Vinnie Richichi and Ron Cook why he thinks CONSOL Energy Center will be the place to be in Pittsburgh Saturday night, why the Gladiators will be a tough opponent, and what has led to the resurgence of quarterback Bernard Morris, who has led the Power to three straight wins since coming off injured reserve.

In addition, Siegfried talks about the spectacle of arena football and the Power's improved team chemistry, and how red-hot receiver Mike Washington, the former Aliquippa star, is making an impact on it. He also discusses the challenges of coaching a pure expansion team and building a contender from scratch.

Kickoff is at 7:30 Saturday evening, and if you can't make it down to the arena, be sure to catch all the action live at 7:15 on 93.7 The Fan, with Troy Clardy on play-by-play, Darnell Dinkins with color commentary, and Megan Wolfley reporting.
