PSU B-ball Coach: “I Have A Vision For This Program”

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Penn State Head Basketball coach Patrick Chambers, joined the FAN Morning Show Monday to introduce himself to the Penn State fans in the Pittsburgh area.

Pat explains why he took the job and how he plans to continue to build the Penn State program.

“Everything’s here that you need.. Everything is in place to have a successful program,” Chambers told The Fan.

“I have short and long-term goals — there’s no doubt about it,” Chambers added. “I’m very goal-driven. I have a vision for this program. Right now I want to evaluate, see where everybody stands — evaluate the talent, see what direction we need to go in and then I’ll kind of make my goals after that. But right now, we gotta be the best team we can be. We gotta create good habits that will help us compete on a nightly basis.”

It looks like a great pickup for Penn State. Hopefully, he’ll be able to have some consistency, where there hasn’t been for a very long time. Maybe, he’ll be able to make some inroads to recruiting in New York/New Jersey and Philly.
