Beaver Co. Man Allegedly Gives Alcohol, Pills To Minor

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) – A man was arrested after allegedly giving alcohol and pills to a minor in Beaver County Sunday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to the Ambridge High School after receiving a call from a juvenile claiming that a man tried to rape him.

The victim said the incident happened at the man's home in the 1200-block of Beaver Road.

He said that the man, 45-year-old Leslie Funtieo, was his pseudo uncle.

Funtieo allegedly offered the victim alcohol. After drinking it, the victim complained of a headache.

Funtieo allegedly gave the victim four pills to treat the headache.

The victim then became tired and fell asleep. He was allegedly awoken after feeling tugging on his shorts and found the suspect standing over him wearing no clothes.

Funtieo claimed he had just gotten out of the shower, but the victim stated that he was dry.

The victim ran from the house as Funtieo allegedly chased and caught him at the intersection of 12th Street and Beaver Road.

Funtieo allegedly tried to drag the victim back to the house, but the boy held onto a street sign.

The boy ran away again and called police from the high school.

Officers went to the house and found Funtieo trying to enter through the rear door. When he noticed police, he allegedly took off on foot.

He was taken into custody in the 1200-block of Lenz Avenue.

Funtieo is facing several charges including, indecent assault, unlawful restraint and corruption of minors.
