Suspect Flees After Police Chase In Hazelwood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A suspect is still on the loose after a police chase in Hazelwood.
At about 8 p.m. Friday, a police officer spotted a car reported stolen about a week ago on Minden Street.
The car had an Alaska plate.
The pursuit went for about seven blocks before it ended on Marsden Street when the suspect threw the car in reverse and backed into a police cruiser.
Neighbors say they're lucky no one was hurt.
He then ran into a wooded area. Police searched nearby vacant buildings, but didn't find him.
He's described as a black male about 6-feet tall.
