Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Pittsburgh Pirates agreed to terms with the following player from this year’s draft.

Jordan Cooper (23rd round – RHP): Was also drafted by the Pirates in the 17th round of the 2009 draft…Was one of five University of Kentucky players to be drafted in the first 30 rounds…Went 3-2 with one save and a 4.61 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 14 appearances (12 starts) in 2011…

Was the No. one high school pitching prospect and fifth-best prospect overall in the state of Tennessee along with being rated as the 81st-best high school prospect in the nation by Baseball America.
