Elderly Driver Hits Photography Studio In Beaver

BEAVER (KDKA) — Workers are making repairs to a photography studio on Third Street in Beaver after an elderly driver plowed through the entrance.

An 85-year-old woman drove through the front door and plate glass window on Friday.

James Bango, the owner, was talking with a customer near the window inside the store when it happened.

The driver, whose car was parked at the front of the store, hit the gas pedal with the car in drive instead of reverse. The car jumped the curb, screeched and lurched forward.

Two people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Old F***ing women should not be driving.

Tired of these stories. Old people need yearly drivers exams. They’re one foot in the grave anyway. Why allow them to take others’ lives?

Remember my friend, one day you too will be elderly. Your statement about allowing them to take others lives doesn’t fly in this case. You must have missed the following story line that reads: ‘Two people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.’ This woman will no doubt lose her license which may well be appropriate for her age and diminished driving skills but I see a LOT of younger drivers, on a daily basis, that should have their licenses yanked on the spot and not allowed to drive again until they grow up!
