PITTSBURGH (93-7  The Fan) – Shawn Roarke, the managing editor of NHL.com, joined 93.7 The Fan weekend host Tab Douglas Saturday evening to give a national perspective on Jaromir Jagr’s surprise decision to sign with the arch-rival Flyers.

According to Shawn, Jagr was intriguingly non-committal in his introductory press conference in Philly, saying he doesn’t have any particular goals for the upcoming season, and that even he isn’t sure how he’ll fare in his return to the NHL after a three-year absence.

Shawn weighs in on what could have inspired the ex-Penguin great to shun the team that drafted him (again), and how damaging it will be to his legacy in Pittsburgh.

Shawn also rates some of the other big free agent signings around the league, and gives his take on what newly-acquired winger Steve Sullivan can do for the Pens.
