Peters Township graduate Rob Madore and Upper St. Clair graduate Andrew Blazek were invited to the Penguins prospect and development camp this week and both are jumping at the opportunity to improve their game under Consol Energy Center’s roof.

Madore, a goaltender at the University of Vermont, has seen extensive time between the pipes in three seasons, running up a 36-43-19 record with a 2.66 goals against average and .909 save percentage.

Blazek, a defenseman at Robert Morris University, has played for the Colonials for two years. He put up two goals and five assists in both years and played in 30 games last season.

Here’s what each of them had to say as we chatted on the next-to-last day of camp…
