Sunseri Named To National Watch List

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)–Tino Sunseri has been named to the watch list for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.

The Pittsburgh Panthers junior quarterback started in all 13 games last year and completed 65 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,572 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

The award is annually presented by the Davey O’Brien Foundation in Fort Worth, Texas, and features 38 quarterbacks this year, who were chosen based on player performance during the previous year and 2011 season expectations.

Sunseri was not the only Panther selected to national award watch lists. Additional Pitt players selected are junior tailback Ray Graham (Doak Walker Award and Maxwell Award), senior linebacker Max Gruder (Butkus Award), senior offensive lineman Chris Jacobson (Outland Trophy), senior defensive end Brandon Lindsey (Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski and Rotary Lombardi Award), senior offensive lineman Lucas Nix (Outland Trophy) and junior wide receiver Mike Shanahan (Biletnikoff Award).

Really they must be hurting for people on this list if they actually put this joker on it. Sunseri is garbage they will not be a prominent team with him leading it. My guess inside the first month of the season he is no longer on this list or this list’s waiting list. PITT football = POOP
