Penn St. Loses Commitment

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- For the second time in two weeks, a Penn State recruit is changing his mind.

The Altoona Mirror is reporting that highly ranked defensive tackle Jamil Pollard has withdrawn his verbal committment.

Pollard (6-5, 280 lbs) is rated as one of the top 200 players in the country.

Over the last few weeks, Pollard has received other scholarship offers and wants to explore his options.

Word is that Rutgers could be the team that lands Pollard.

11 days ago, Jarron Jones, rated as one of the top five defensive tackles in the country, backed off of his committment to Joe Paterno and Penn State.

The Nittany Lions could be landing a highly rated player this week.

The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that St. Joseph's Prep quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg could decide between Penn State, Tennessee, Alabama and Illinois later this week.
