Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Another off-season, another surgery for Pens defenseman Brooks Orpik.
The Penguins announced that Orpik underwent successful lower abdominal/hernia surgery on his right side today.
Dr. Lawrence Biskin performed the surgery in Pittsburgh. Orpik’s rehab is expected to take six to eight weeks.
Back in 2010, Orpik underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia on his left side.
