Gonzalez Suspended 2 Games

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Pitt coach Todd Graham announced today that redshirt freshman quarterback Anthony Gonzalez will be suspended for the first two games of the season for violation of team rules.

Graham previously said that Gonzalez was suspended indefinitely.

Gonzalez was cited earlier this year on charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and fake identification, and underage drinking.

Gonzalez will be permitted to practice with the team when training camp opens Aug. 8.

Gonzalez will miss Pitt's game against Buffalo and Maine.
