Pitt Lands 4-Star Quarterback

By: Mike Vukovcan

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Todd Graham has landed his biggest recruit since becoming head coach at Pitt.

Four-star quarterback Chad Voytik of Cleveland (Tenn.) High School has given Pitt a verbal commitment.

Last week at the Elite 11 quarterback camp, Voytik announced that Pitt and Vanderbilt were his two finalists.

Rivals.com ranks Voytik as the No. 6 pro-style quarterback and 153rd player overall.

Voytik will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January.

Kind of surprising that Voytik wasn’t that highly recruited while having a 4-star ranking.

Aside from Pitt, Voytik had offers from Mississippi State, Clemson, Louisville, Memphis, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Pitt now has 10 commitments for the Class of 2012.

good point. the football team brings in money. much more important to invest in title IX and waste all that money…. or we could invite a member of the weather underground to speak on campus…. or we could buy up a bunch of real estate and put the “seperate” UPMC entity name on the steel tower. wake up, idiot.
