Councilman Bill Peduto On Rowdy Events At Mellon Park

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — KDKA Radio’s Mike Pintek talks with Pittsburgh City Councilman Bill Peduto about managing increasingly large and out-of-control events in his district’s Mellon Park.

On July 31, dozens of youths who reportedly attended the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church’s annual picnic moved from the park into East Liberty, vandalizing businesses and pulling items from the shelves at the newly-opened Target Store.

Peduto, who has made complaints about overcrowded events at the Park for several years now, talks with Mike about moving larger events to other venues, as well as reducing the number of noise and parking complaints stemming from the park.
