I agree w/spay/neuter of pets–but felt it necessary to state the obvious here!

ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL….WHY WERE NOT PRECAUTIIOARY MEASURES TAKEN…….WAS THERE ANY PROFESSIONELLISM INVOLVED THERE IS REASON FOR WHAT HAPPEN OR WAS THIS THE 1ST TIME SOMEONE DID SUCH PROCEDURE……C.L. TRAFFORD PA.

This never should have happened… veterinarians today are too negligent when it comes to taking care of our four legged loved ones. My worst nightmare DID come true when I had boarded my beautiful 13 month old black German Shepherd dog with a veterinarian who had indoor boarding kennels. This facility let my dog get hit by a car and did not do what the vet quoted as “life saving surgery” until the day after my little girl was hit. My dog suffered at least one or more broken ribs, a punctured lung, ruptured bladder and more. When the vet finally decided to do the “life saving surgery” a day later, my loved one had 3 cardiac arrests coming out of the anesthesia and died. By the time the state licensing board was able to investigate, I hadn’t realized that my own attorney had me sign my rights away…. holding the veterinarian and staff NOT RESPONSIBLE for the pain, suffering, and death of my canine companion. People…. DOGS ARE CONSIDERED PROPERTY IN PA. In the event of a negligent death, you are only entitled to the “value” of the dog….. to those of us who love our animal companions as our own children, we know the value of our companions is priceless…… this doesn’t matter when it comes to the law.
