Monaca Mother Ordered To Stand Trial

MONACA (KDKA) -- The mother of three children found living in filth in Beaver County has been ordered to stand trial.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for the children's father.

Kimberly Flynn, 37, and Gilberto Rodriguez, 38, are accused of leaving their 2-year-old son, 2-year-old daughter and 1-year-old daughter in deplorable conditions at their Monaca home.

When police first responded to the house, they say Flynn wasn't home and they found Rodriguez playing computer games in the back bedroom.

Police say the couple left rotting food and trash everywhere. There was human waste all over the house and hundreds of flies.

Flynn and Rodriguez are charged with endangering the welfare of children and reckless endangerment.

During the hearing, Flynn told court officials Rodriguez is somewhere in Tennessee and had no intention of showing up for today's hearing.

That's when they issued a warrant for his arrest.

Flynn's lawyer is trying to iron out a plea deal.
