Pittsburgh (KDKA)- As expected, ESPN announced today that two WPIAL football teams will be playing on their network.

Central Catholic, which is loaded with blue-chip talent will take on Archbiship Wood, another powerhouse.
The game will take place on September 4th and will be televised on ESPN2 (2 pm kickoff).

The other ESPN game involving WPIAL teams will be Hopewell at Central Valley on Oct. 14. This game will be on ESPNU at 6 p.m.

It’s being reported that Hopewell star running back Rushel Shell will make his college decision during this game. Todd Graham and the Pitt Panthers have a real good shot of landing Shell.

ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will be televising 16 high school games this fall.
