Chatham University Student Diagnosed With Typhoid Fever
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A student at Chatham University has been diagnosed with typhoid fever.
The female student had flu-like symptoms and is recovering.
The school is taking precautions by cleaning and advising students to not share food or drinks.
People can get typhoid fever by eating food or drinking beverages that have been handled by a person who is infected.
Typhoid fever can be prevented and can usually be treated with antibiotics.
