3 Men Questioned In Armed Robberies Near Busway

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) -- Three men are being questioned after a rash of robberies at the busway in Wilkinsburg.

The victims are targeted when they get off the bus and are walking home or to their cars in the parking lot.

"That's like the second or third time in the last couple months that something like that has happened, so it's concerning," Lisa Massey, a bus rider, said.

The men held the victims at gunpoint, but didn't realize their actions were caught on Port Authority surveillance video.

A lot of people depend on the bus for transportation and right now they're very nervous.

"I'm always cognizant, I always look around," Velma Parker, a bus rider, said. "I'm looking to see if there's groups of people or older people where you feel safer standing at and I always try to time my buses by those factors."

Detectives are questioning the three suspects who match the victims' descriptions. They were arrested by Pittsburgh Police for a similar incident near the busway in East Liberty.
