Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest In North Side Homicide

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man charged in the fatal shooting of a woman on the North Side is now in jail.

Lakisha Robinson, 29, was fatally shot after a fight in the courtyard at 255 East Ohio Street back in March.

Pittsburgh police identified the shooter as 32-year-old Jesse Lewis.

After evading authorities for months, Lewis got pulled over in McKees Rocks on Monday and told police his name was Darrell Strong.

It turns out that Strong has an outstanding warrant so Lewis was taken to the Allegheny County Jail under that name.

When they ran his fingerprints, police learned his true identity.

Lewis now faces a list of charges including homicide, aggravated assault and weapons charges.
