Search Resumes For Missing Ross Twp. Mom

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The search resumed today for a missing mother who was last seen nearly two weeks ago.

Volunteers met at the Giant Eagle on Brighton Road Saturday morning with plans to search the Bellevue area for any sign of Jamie Peterson.

The mother of two was last seen on Sept. 26.

When Peterson's children came home from school that day they found her car, but she wasn't there. Peterson's cell phone and purse were also gone.

Her father says he wants police to do more to find his daughter.

"Right now, as far as I'm concerned, there's a lot of things that remain unanswered by them. I've asked them questions and they're not telling me anything," said Jim Peterson, Jamie's father. "I really do feel that they should bring in more help on it."

He says he has asked state police to get involved in the search, but they say they won't intervene unless Ross Township police ask for their assistance.
