Indiana Co. Pedestrian Accident Kills 1

CLYMER (KDKA) – A woman was killed in an Indiana County pedestrian accident Monday night.

According to the Indiana County Coroner's Office, the accident happened on Route 286 near Clymer around 7 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Jamme Lee Locke, 32, of Meadville.

Locke, a mother of four, was struck by a pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Locke was in the area visiting friends and family earlier in the day. However, she left without telling anyone where she was going and attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.

Toxicology tests are pending, but the coroner suspects that Locke may have been under the influence at the time of the accident.

Several other drivers had reported that they nearly hit her as well.

There is no word If charges will be filed against the driver at this time.
