Real Swamp Man Gives Advice To Catch Local Gator

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - The Beaver Run Reservoir Gator is in danger of freezing to death if authorities can't catch him before it gets colder.

Henry Kacprzyk, the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquariums' reptile wrangler, is in charge of catching the 5 foot alligator, but so far the elusive lizard hasn't surfaced.

KDKA-AM's Larry and John decided they better get a professional, so they talk to Charlie LeDoux, a real Louisiana swamp gator hunter. Charlie gives tips to catch the gator with some down home advice, and talks about his guided gator hunting tours.

Charlie says a 5-foot alligator shouldn't be that hard to catch.

"If you have any problems (catching that little alligator), put me on a plane and I'll come take care of it for you... I'll bring my daughter to catch it."

Podcast

Charlie gives guided tours and hunting expeditions for alligators and white tail deer in the bayou. He'll take you hunting for alligators with a gun, a bow, or even a knife. Check out his company at www.guidedventures.com/.
