Crew Hits Gas Line In Baldwin, Some Residents Evacuated

BALDWIN (KDKA) — Several families had to be evacuated from an apartment building in Baldwin this morning after contracting crews hit a gas line.

According to emergency officials, the gas line is located in the 5400-block of Keeport Drive.

Officials say about 12 families were evacuated from the nearby apartment complex as a precaution.

The gas company was called to the scene to turn off the gas.

There is no word on how long repairs could take.
