Man, 75, Turns In Self After Moon Hit & Run

MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man has turned himself into police after allegedly hitting a 17-year-old girl with his pickup truck Saturday night.

According to police, Clifford Dilley, 75, of Moon Township, turned himself into police at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

Dilley told police that he thought he had struck a deer on Moon Clinton Road just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Allegheny County forensic investigators spent much of Monday morning looking for evidence and taking pictures of Dilley's damaged pickup truck.

His pickup truck matches the description given and has damage consistent with that of a pedestrian accident.

Dilley has been very cooperative with police and has voluntarily submitted to a blood-alcohol test.

He is believed to be distraught over the incident, but no charges have been filed at this time.

The victim is still at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, but her name has not been released.
