PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — No. 17 Pitt was able to outlast La Salle Tuesday night at the Petersen Events Center, 73-69.

The Panthers were powered by a 17-point, six-rebound performance from power forward Nasir Robinson. Center Dante Taylor added 11 points and six rebounds and Tray Woodall scored 12 points while adding 10 assists, three rebounds and three blocks.

It wasn’t a perfect effort by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a game where you could see Pitt improve in certain areas. The front court steadily improved as the game went on and freshman power forward Khem Birch emerged with four points, four blocks and seven rebounds.

Pitt rebounded from its first home non-conference loss in 58 games last week to Long Beach State.

Here’s what some of the players and head coach Jamie Dixon had to say after the game…
