New Details In YouTube Car Vandalism Case

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There are new details in a crime captured on YouTube – a man smashing windows of a local family's car.

The video shows a man breaking the back and front windows on a car parked on the South Side.

But the other man in the video - the guy who posted it on YouTube says he wasn't part of the vandalism and that they were taping a reality TV show pilot and stumbled into the vandal.

He admits that he did not call the police.

Pat O'leary says his daughter was working on the South Side Friday night and returned to find the smashed windows.

Police have now dusted the car for fingerprints.

So far there have been no arrests.

The other man - part of the production crew - says he is not a vandal.

KDKA-TV has also learned tonight a second car may have been damaged - and Pittsburgh Productions is willing to pay for that damage as well.

They're also offering to turn all 27 minutes of their tape over to the police.
