VERONA (KDKA) — Crews had to work quickly overnight to put out a fire at an apartment building in Verona.

The flames broke out around 11:30 p.m. at the Arthur J. Demor Towers for senior citizens on Demor Drive.

Officials say they believe the fire may have started in the kitchen of one of the units and spread.

Some residents were evacuated as a precaution.

No injuries were reported.
