Police Investigate Butler Co. Motorist Shooting

JACKSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – State Police in Butler County are investigating after a motorist allegedly fired shots at another motorist Friday night.

According to State Police, the incident happened on Zehner School Road in Jackson Township around 11:50 p.m.

A dispute arose while both vehicles were traveling south on Route 19.

The victim turned onto Zehner School Road and told police that the suspect’s vehicle pulled a U-turn on Route 19 in order to follow them.

The victim pulled over, got out of the vehicle and began to walk toward the suspect’s car.

At that time, several shots were allegedly fired at the victim with at least one round hitting him.

The victim has been identified as David Getty, 45, of Cranberry Township. There is no word on his condition at this time.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Butler at (724)-284-8100.
