PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Peter Taglianetti joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller to talk about the Max Pacioretty hit on Kris Letang and how many inconsistencies there are in the officials calling penalties on headshots.

Taglianetti told us these type of hits were common during his playing days, but the only difference between then and now is the attention paid to them because of the concussions they’re causing.

Peter said he thinks the league needs to reevaluate their officials who are missing these calls, and possibly bring in new officials that better understand the headshot rules and enforce them.

We also got Peter’s thoughts on going to the Backyard Brawl to watch his son Andrew play, and what that experience was like for him.
