PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Millvale police officer was injured after being struck by a car.

Scott Bailey has been a part-time officer with the department for five years.

He was struck after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Route 28 and the 40th Street Bridge.

Officials say he was directing traffic in that area where a road construction project is ongoing.

Bailey was taken to Allegheny General Hospital. He is listed in stable condition with head and neck injuries.
