Heinz Red Zone: Touchdown Turkey Burgers

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Score a touchdown with your family and friends during your next tailgate party with this delicious recipe from Rania Harris!

STEELERS HUDDLE “Heinz Red Zone Recipe”: Touchdown Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground turkey
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup Heinz® 57® Sauce
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
Plain breadcrumbs
Hot sauce to taste
Sea salt to taste
Olive oil for drizzling
6 slices pepper jack cheese
6 whole wheat sandwich buns
Heinz® Hamburger Dill Pickle Slices
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices

Preparation:
1. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, mayonnaise, Heinz 57 Sauce and red onion. Add enough breadcrumbs to bind the mixture, so that you can form firm burger patties. Add hot sauce to taste along with salt and mix well.

2. Divide mixture into six equal mounds then form meat into patties. Drizzle patties with olive oil to coat. Cook in skillet over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes on each side.

3. Place cooked burgers onto toasted buns. Top with Heinz Hamburger Dill Pickle Slices, lettuce and tomatoes. Serve immediately.
