PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pitt Football Safety Andrew Taglianetti joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN to walk us through how the team found about their head coach leaving for Arizona State.
Taglianetti said he was in utter shock and disbelief when he found out when he found out that Graham was leaving, especially since he told the team in the last few weeks that they don’t have to worry about him leaving like his assistants did to join Rich Rodriguez at Arizona.
Taglianetti said he is shocked and frustrated by this, and took us back to when Graham was first hired and what the teams’ impression of him was. Andrew expressed that obvious frustration towards Graham by saying he lied to the team, and referred to him as a used car salesman.
When it came to discussing the upcoming bowl game, Taglianetti told us that the guys on the team will stick together and get through this, and will play one of the best games of the year.
We wrapped things up with Andrew asking him if Todd Graham was standing in front of him, what he would say to him right now.
