Authorities Blaming Icy Road Conditions In Fatal Ohioville Crash

OHIOVILLE (KDKA) -- One person was killed when an SUV and tractor trailer collided head-on Saturday night in Beaver County.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on Route 68 at the Beaver Creek Bridge in Ohioville.

Authorities say they believe the icy conditions may have played a factor in the accident.

According to police in Ohioville, the SUV lost control on the ice-covered roadway and slammed into the tractor trailer.

The driver of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities have not released the name of the driver.
