Suspected Drunk Driver Damages Cars From Pittsburgh To Penn Hills

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- About a dozen cars were damaged as a suspected drunk driver led police on a chase from Pittsburgh to Penn Hills.

Investigators say it all started when the suspect hit a car in the city where Pittsburgh police spotted him.

When they lost him, the suspect went on the Parkway East where he hit three or four more cars.

He then took the Rodi Road exit, hitting eight or nine cars along the way, including several police cars.

He then drove into a parking lot. An innocent bystander walking into his dentist office had to run full speed and dove into bushes to avoid being hit.

The suspect tried to kick out a window in his car to escape, but police captured him and took him to jail.

Three people were taken to the hospital, but all the injuries appear to be minor.
