PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Scattered snow showers are moving through the area as many counties in western Pennsylvania remain under a Winter Weather Advisory.

KDKA Chief Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla expects most of the area to see one to three inches of snow over the next 24 hours.

The New Castle area could experience two to four inches.

Four to eight inches are expected north of Interstate 80 and in the Laurel Highlands.

Crawford, Mercer and Venango counties are under a Lake Effect Snow Warning.

“Still some snow showers at wake-up tomorrow morning which will taper off to flurries through the afternoon,” Jeff said. “Temperatures though holding steady in the upper teens near 20 throughout the day tomorrow.”
