WILMERDING (KDKA) — One man is in custody after a standoff sent the SWAT Team to Wilmerding early this morning.

The incident happened in the 400-block of Commerce Street and ended just before 6:30 a.m.

Officials say the man had barricaded himself inside a home there with a shotgun.

According to authorities, officers reportedly had to use a Taser to take him into custody.

Officials say he was not injured, but was being taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.

There is no word yet on what prompted the situation.
