HOMESTEAD (KDKA) — At least four people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that shut down the Homestead Grays Bridge in Homestead.

The accident happened shortly after 11 a.m. and involved at least four vehicles. As of noon, the bridge remained closed.

The worst damage apparently happened when a truck slammed into the side of a mini-van.

Emergency crews had to cut the driver of the pickup truck out of his vehicle.

The accident prompted a chain reaction crash when another car rear-ended another vehicle.

At this point, the extent of the injuries is not yet known.
