PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Allegheny County police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with a home invasion and robbery in McKeesport that left a man seriously injured.

Police say Dezre “G-Red” Smith was arrested Wednesday evening. He is facing several charges including criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, burglary and theft.

According to Allegheny County police, the home invasion happened back in Sept. 2011 at a home on 35th Street. Police say the resident of the home, identified as Timothy Anderson, was shot and wounded during the incident.

Police say they were able to track down Smith through several witnesses and Facebook.

Anderson remains in the hospital following the incident.

Smith is now being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
