Surveillance Photos Released In Club Fever Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are trying to identify eight people inside a nightclub in the Strip District on the night of a fatal shooting.
Shortly after 1 a.m. on New Year's Day, gunfire erupted inside Club Fever, injuring two men. Shateecha Roach, 27, was shot and killed near the club which has since closed.
Police have released surveillance pictures of the patrons – six men and two women – in hopes of identifying them.
According to Pittsburgh police, few people who were inside the club that night have come forward with information.
Family members say Shateecha Roach was a loving mother of two children, including a 7-week-old daughter, and a school board employee who cared for handicapped children.
"These babies have to grow up without their mom," Edna Roach, the victim's mother, said. "And I have to be without my daughter. This is the second child that I've lost, but through the grace of God, He saw me through."
James Roach, the victim's brother, was killed on New Year's Day 17 years ago.
Anyone with information is asked to call City Homicide at 412-323-7161.
