Duquesne Shooting Victim Recently Moved To Area

DUQUESNE (KDKA) -- The father of a 16-year-old boy shot and killed in Duquesne says it's a case of mistaken identity.

Ray Peek told KDKA-TV his son, Daniel Peek and his 14-year-old brother moved to the area five weeks ago from a small town in Kentucky.

He said his sons had no criminal record and they were born with radial club hands with bent wrists affected by underdeveloped forearms.

Allegheny County Police have not commented on a possible motive, but re-interviewed family members after the shooting Saturday at the Hilltop Parkview Manor Apartments.

Peek's younger brother was injured. He's the person who answered the door when the gunmen opened fire. His grandmother and aunt were grazed by stray bullets.

Police are looking for three gunmen. They ask anyone with information to give them a call.
