State Police Seek Suspect In Walmart Robbery In Indiana Co.

WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police in Indiana County say they are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a Walmart in White Township.

The incident happened just after midnight at the store on Oakland Avenue.

According to state police, the suspect approached the cash register as one of the employees was counting money from the register drawers.

Investigators say the suspect is accused of grabbing two blue bank bags with about $2,600 in cash. The man ran out of the store heading northeast in the direction of Oakland Avenue.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male with a thin build, standing between five-foot-four and five-feet-eight-inches tall.

He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf was covering his face.
