BURRELL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two shots were fired during the robbery of an adult business in Indiana County.

According to police, the incident happened at Adult World on Route 22 in Burrell Township around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Two black men wearing hooded sweatshirts had their faces covered when they entered the store.

“One of the suspects brandished a large butcher knife and the other suspect was carrying a handgun,” State Trooper John Matchik said.

Police say the suspect with the gun fired a shot into the ceiling before demanding the clerks open the register.

He then fired another shot narrowly missing a female clerk before making their getaway.

“At this point absolutely we believe the intent was there to cause injury to the clerk,” Matchik said.

The robbers just took cash and did not take any merchandise.

The store was back open for business Tuesday afternoon.
