NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are looking for two suspects after a gunshot was fired during an armed robbery at a pizza shop in Westmoreland County.

North Huntingdon Police say the robbery happened just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Grande Pizza in Norwin Towne Square.

According to investigators, the two men were wearing masks and had handguns when they entered the business through the back and then went to the office area.

Police say they suspects are accused of demanding money and one fired a bullet into a wall.

The suspects managed to get away with an undetermined amount of cash and got away by going out the back.

Customers say can’t believe that it happened.

“It’s such a nice, cozy place, we come here for lunch all the time – just can’t understand why someone would want to rob it,” Will Shay said.

“What are you going to get out of a pizza joint, you know?” Greg Artim said. “Just very surprising.”

Anyone with information on the case is being asked to contact the North Huntingdon Police Department at 724-863-8800.
