Malkin Named NHL's No. 2 Star Of The Week
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Penguins center Evgeni Malkin was named the NHL's No. 2 Star of the Week for last week's action.
Malkin had three goals and five assists last week in three games. He was a plus-6 in those three games.
The highlight of Malkin's week was a five-point outing against Winnipeg Saturday afternoon. He scored one goal and assisted on four others in an 8-5 Penguins victory.
Malkin followed that effort up with two goals in a comeback win against Tampa Bay Sunday night.
Malkin leads the NHL with 69 points and is second in goals with 32.
