BELLE VERNON (KDKA) – A Washington County man has been charged with assaulting a three-year-old child, sending her to the hospital.

According to authorities, Brandon Polomoscanik, of Belle Vernon, repeatedly struck a three-year-old girl over a nine-hour period on Feb. 13.

The victim was first transported to Mon Valley Hospital, but was then moved to Children’s Hospital to treat her injuries.

Polomoscanik has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the accused would be arraigned by the Washington County Night Court.
