Voter ID Legislation – A Waste Of Time Or Exactly What We Need?

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — KDKA Radio’s Mike Pintek was joined on NewsRadio1020 KDKA today by State Representative Daryl Metcalfe.

The discusses the legislation introduced by Rep. Metcalfe. This legislation, Pennsylvania House Bill 934, would make voter photo ID a requirement.

  1. I would vote for a Voter ID requirement. I see no reason why not. I think the argument that it would disenfranchise the poor is bunk. You need photo ID’s for most anything these days. If you are poor, you can still get a photo ID for free at any place where driver’s license’s are given. You can go in and get a photo ID. . .this way we can ensure that the person that votes is really THAT person. What is the big deal???

    I am against voter ID. Bring the voters lists up to date and that should eliminate the majority of the problems. Why are there so many deceased peoples names on the list? Get with it.
