1 Injured In Crash On Interstate 79

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person was injured in an accident involving a tractor trailer and another vehicle this morning on Interstate 79.

State police say the crash happened on the southbound side of the road between Kirwin Heights and the Carnegie exit.

According to authorities, at least one person was hurt.

There is no word on that person’s condition or what caused the crash.

PennDOT officials say all lanes of that road have now been reopened. The closure had been backing up traffic earlier this morning.

Still, officials are asking drivers in that area to go slow and use caution.
